2026 Lake Trout Derby on Canandaigua Lake
We have terrific lake trout fishing in the Finger Lakes! Anglers from across the region fish for the biggest lake trout, rainbow trout and brown trout to compete for prizes and try to land the trophy fish at The 2026 Lake Trout Derby on Canandaigua Lake in the Finger Lakes of New York.

In an effort to support catch & release, all registered fishermen/women will automatically be eligible to win, without being required to bring in a fish.
Grand Prizes:
Any Trout Species: $1000 for first place, $750 for second place and $500 for third.
Division Awards:
Largest Lake Trout
$200 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third.
Largest Brown Trout
$200 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third.
Largest Rainbow Trout
$200 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third.
